Neurocognitive Outcome Intelligence Quotient (IQ) decline of 10 to 15 points in medulloblastoma survivors. Superior IQ preservation with a decline of less than 5 points.
Endocrine And Cardiac Function High risk of growth hormone deficiency, hypothyroidism, and late cardiac toxicity. Demonstrates a 20 to 30 percent reduction in late endocrine and cardiac adverse events.
Secondary Malignancies Lifetime risk of secondary cancers is 5 to 20 percent higher. Achieves a 50 percent relative reduction in secondary malignancy risk.
Integral Dose High entry and exit doses to surrounding normal tissue. 30 to 50 percent lower integral dose to normal developing tissues.
